Students are required to pass the Foundations Exam to earn a Certificate of Completion for each Level. 

ProStart Students can earn their Certificate of Achievement by completing the Level 1 and Level 2 courses and passing both exams. Students seeking their COA are required to document 400 hours of work experience and demonstrate workplace competencies. Go to the Exam and Certificate Resources page within this site to take an exam, track progress and more.  
 
Absolutely! Several schools using the Foundations curriculum also include ServeSafe materials and certification in their course. Reach out to the sales team at textbooks@restaurant.org to learn more and get information about bundling options. 
If you have switched over to 2E Foundations and still have 1E Exam vouchers/Answer sheets, you can contact our Sales team at textbooks.restaurant.org to see if you are eligible for the Exam Exchange Program.

  1. We encourage first time customers to contact our Sales team to set up an account and assist creating your first order. You can call 1800.765.2122 select the promp for prostart and then “2” to leave a voicemail message for the sales team (they will return your calls within 24 hours) or email customer care” or email Sales.
  2. Existing customers can log into textbooks.restaurant.org “Purchase Products” tab. Select products you need and add to the shopping cart. Select “Create a Quote” to generate a quote. They may also call/email Sales to enter a quote.
If you have already created a quote, send the purchase order to purchaseorders@restaurant.org.
 
ExamView is a desktop application and must be installed on a PC or Mac. ExamView cannot be installed on a Chromebook. However, you can set up ExamView v11 (our latest release) to run on a server and access via a remote desktop service for your Chromebook. View more details here.
